Rachel Shaefer

Prior to joining Heller, Rachel worked at the Breast Cancer Resource Center, a nonprofit organization in Austin that provides support to women diagnosed with breast cancer throughout central Texas. She managed the client intake, assisted with volunteer management, as well as facilitated a diagnostic assistance program and managed the organization’s Salesforce platform – which is where she was first introduced to the tool and all that it could do. From this experience, she learned the power of connecting data and technology and how those can help an organization work more efficiently and effectively, accurately monitoring and reporting on impact and making data driven decisions. Rachel brings this perspective to her work at Heller and helps clients develop systems to serve their missions and deliver a positive impact in their communities. Rachel earned a degree in Community Education & Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and is a Salesforce Certified Administrator. Outside of Heller, Rachel enjoys practicing yoga, biking around Austin and traveling as much as possible.
