Planning Change Management to Ensure a Technology Project’s Success
Thursday, March 23 — 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
According to the Harvard Business Review as many as 70% of change initiatives within an organization fail, often falling victim to a lack of clear goals and sustained focus. Fortunately, by implementing proven change management strategies organizations can guide their organization to success and overcome many common obstacles. In this workshop, we will present practical strategies to prepare, communicate, and manage change throughout a modern technology project. Attendees will work through several scenarios and learn specific techniques that are easily transferable to both small and large challenges.
Michael Huang, Vice President, National Resources and Connections and Hamid Mirshamsi, Director of IT at Communities In Schools will be sharing their perspective from their technology implementation experiences. Smita Vadakekalem, VP of Professional Services and PROSCI Certified Change Practitioner at Heller Consulting will guide attendees through a range of tools, templates, and activities that provide a clear outline to address future changes.
Extending Your CRM Beyond Fundraising for Greater Program Engagement
Saturday, March 25 — 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
Many organizations have adopted advanced technology for their fundraising, but struggle to extend their system into an organization-wide CRM. In this session we will show how to move beyond fundraising to build clear CRM goals into a sound organizational technology strategy that benefits multiple departments and initiatives.
Michael Kusie, Director of Information Technology for Online Services at Hillel International will share his strategy for developing an effective engagement pilot program, and Matthew Mielcarek, Director of Client Service at Heller Consulting will present three case studies of organizations who have successfully transitioned from fundraising systems to expanded use of their CRM technology.
