Dynamics 365 CE/Power Platform Functional Consultant - Heller Consulting

*This role can be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States or Canada*

As a Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Apps Consultant, you are considered a Solution Specialist and have in depth knowledge of D365 CE/CRM and Power Platform. You are energetic and passionate about Dynamics 365 CE/CRM and the Power Platform and how it can be used to solve complex business problems. You have in-depth knowledge of Dynamics 365 CE/CRM Apps including Sales & Marketing and third-party ISV solutions relevant to the nonprofit sector. 

You will lead the lead project implementation teams and provide architecture guidance and direction, leveraging your deep knowledge of Dynamics 365 CE/CRM and Power Platform, and the Microsoft Cloud for Nonprofit. 

This is a remote role for a fully virtual company. Some limited, company-funded travel may be expected in the future, but given current events, travel is not required at this time.

Responsibilities 

Typically, people who succeed in this role at Heller do the following:

  • Contribute across all phases of Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Cloud for Nonprofit projects (e.g. Plan, Analyze, Design, Build and Test) 
  • Leverage technical expertise to design and build CRM solutions for nonprofit clients. You will be required to be hands-on with Microsoft Cloud for Nonprofit, Dynamics 365 CE/CRM and Power Platform. 
  • Liaise effectively between clients, internal team members, and third-party vendors to ensure high quality and timely delivery 
  • Assess client requirements and recommend appropriate solutions 
  • Design and build appropriate solutions, leveraging the Microsoft ecosystem and third-party applications available to nonprofits 
  • Analyze, understand and map client data from legacy systems to the Nonprofit Common Data Model and the client’s solution-specific data model
  • Contribute to the refinement of existing Microsoft services. Actively contribute to and build Heller’s thought leadership and knowledgebase through supported marketing activities.
  • Work under general guidance and direction, but fully independent in own work with latitude for autonomous decision-making related to work process 
  • Mentor peers and lead by example both within projects and through internal professional development opportunities.
  • Requirements

In this role, Heller Consulting requires the following:

  • Understanding of common nonprofit industry standard business practices supported by the Microsoft Cloud for Nonprofit, Dynamics 365 CE/CRM and Power Platform. 
  • Experience in Dynamics 365 CE/CRM, Power Platform (PowerApps Portal, Canvas and Model Driven Apps, Power Automate) and Common Data Service 
  • Experience in Configuration and Customization of Dynamics 365 CE/CRM (Plugins, JavaScript, Logic Apps, Azure Functions), Web API and SSIS. 
  • DevOps with Dynamics 365 CE/CRM. 
  • Familiar with the core Microsoft offerings. 
  • Proposal Writing, Product Demonstration and Presentations. 
  • Consulting experience working with nonprofit clients of all sizes, including enterprise clients. 
  • Demonstrated experience leading workshops at various project implementation phases to collaborate and lead the client to timely decision-making that will ensure a successful implementation project. 
  • Client management skills and the ability to work with clients to develop and manage an action plan. 
  • Implementation experience in the nonprofit sector. 
  • Strong time management skills with proven ability to work across multiple large, complex, and/or high priority projects and consistently meet project deadlines, project priorities, and client requirements. 
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and skills. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Data Migration tools such as SSIS (SQL Server Integration Service) and Kingsway Soft to migrate large volumes of client legacy data to new solution a strong asset 
  • Certified in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM Applications or Power Platform desired.

This is a regular, full-time, salaried (“exempt”) position. In a standard workweek, 35 – 38 hours should be spent on projects & tasks billable to a client. Non-billable hours are utilized for staff training or enrichment, client cultivation or general administrative work.
