Marketing Cloud Salesforce Consultant
Overview
*This role can be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States or Canada*
A Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant at Heller Consulting is responsible for maintaining and providing expert level product and/or project leadership knowledge for the suite of Marketing Cloud solutions offered by Heller, with an emphasis on Marketing Cloud Engagement. In addition to Marketing Cloud consulting duties, this position participates in the firm’s growth by offering support across a variety of Salesforce projects and working on initiatives that enhance Heller’s strategies and priorities.
Heller Consulting will determine during the interview process whether an offer will be made for an associate consultant, a consultant, or a senior consultant position, commensurate with the candidate’s experience and credentials.
Requirements
- Relevant experience implementing, administering, and supporting a Marketing Cloud environment
- Experience working with nonprofit and/or higher education marketing, fundraising, and/or IT teams
- Preference given to candidates with relevant applicable Salesforce certifications, especially any of the following
- Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist
- Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Engagement Administrator
- Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Engagement Consultant
- Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Engagement Developer
- Achieve mastery level competency for the following necessary consulting skill sets:
- Professional conduct with colleagues and clients
- Proactively and independently track project budget hours, and scale work to fit within a specific project budget while simultaneously demonstrating flexibility and creativity to meet client priorities with the given resources, budget and time
- Successfully manage work across multiple large, complex, and/or high priority projects by consistently meeting project deadlines, project priorities, and client requirements while delivering a high quality of work and meeting your billable goal
- Deliver high quality work despite obstacles such as client organizational culture, personality challenges with team and/or clients, and potential challenges with industry partners and product vendors
- Prioritize tasks, know which tasks need to be done first and which tasks can wait
- Take high level requirements and/or business needs and develop strategic approaches to meeting the client’s needs
- Recognize factors that will affect a project’s success and communicate escalations clearly to the Project Lead, or Project Manager, as applicable per the project’s escalation path
- Communicate in a timely, clear and effective manner with team members and ensure all are informed of project status
- When serving as the Project Lead, be directive and clear when delegating tasks to project team members
- Demonstrate flexibility and creativity within project to ensure client requirements and priorities as well as the project team’s needs are consistently met

- Lead by example within project teams, internal initiatives, and in all interactions with peers

- Mentor peers both formally, within projects, and/or in an informal capacity
- Actively contribute to and build Heller’s knowledgebase/knowledge sharing
- Understand and be able to speak to services provided across the firm,
- Identify and route opportunities for expanding service offerings within client portfolio
- Complete additional capacity-building work to support the firm in one or more of the following:
- Service Development
- Project Lead
- Solution Architect
- Project Advisor
- Emerging Service and New Product Delivery
