I started working with nonprofit organizations almost 20 years ago helping individuals working to exit homelessness in Chicago. My next challenge was in City Year’s Boston headquarters rolling out The Raiser’s Edge to fifteen chapters around the country. I knew from the beginning that working with nonprofits was the right choice for me.

In 2004, I found a long-term home at Heller allowing me to work with hundreds of organizations–including schools, colleges, human service organizations, and many more. I consulted on business process, built custom technical solutions, and developed effective growth strategies for a wide range of clients over the next 9 years.

In 2013 I took on the role of Operations Manager at Jackson River, learning more about how digital marketing is an essential component in a complete engagement and advancement strategy. The following year I took on a new challenge at the University of Wisconsin Foundation, where I managed a team of seventeen people responsible for core data processing as we implemented a new CRM system, GL software, digital marketing system, and campus portal. The depth and complexity of this role allowed me to apply and extend my experience with the challenges faced by the higher education community and I’m thrilled to bring that experience back to my current role.

Outside of Heller, I enjoy writing, spending time on Wisconsin’s Lake Mendota with my husband, and spoiling my two dozen nieces and nephews. I have a Bachelor’s in Sociology from Loyola University Chicago, a Master’s in Journalism from Boston University and a Master of Fine Arts in Fiction Writing from the University of California Riverside.
